Hon. Godfred Dapaah has been confirmed as the Municipal Chief Executive for Nkoranza South Municipal Assembly in the Bono East Region. He received a total of 35 out of 40 votes cast by both the Assembly Members and the Government Appointees present.
Though the voting process was smooth from beginning to end, there was security presence at the premises of the meeting. Hon. Godfred Dapaah in his acceptance speech thanked the President, the Bono East Regional Minister, Nananom and the Assembly Members for the confidence reposed in him to see to the growth and wellbeing of the Municipality and pledge his commitment to the development of the area.
The Bono East Regional Minister, Hon. Francis Antwi expressed his gratitude to the Assembly Members and the Appointees for confirming the President’s nominee and urged the MCE to put the necessary actions in place to advance the development of the municipality.
He then thanked the Member of Parliament for the area Hon. Emmanuel Kwadwo Agyeikom, and called on him, the Assembly Members and the Staff of the Assembly to cooperate with the MCE for effective work’’ the Assembly business is part of the local government structure and as much as possible we have to do it devoid of politics” He said.
