HON. DANIEL OWUREDU CONFIRMED AS THE NEW MUNICIPAL CHIEF EXECUTIVE OF NKORANZA SOUTH
The Assembly Members of the Nkoranza South Municipality have on today, being Friday, the 22nd day of October, 2021 gave Hon Daniel Owuredu, the Municipal Chief Executive nominee for the area a 100% confirmation. All the 45 assembly members endorsed the President’s nominee, Hon Daniel Owuredu by voting Yes following their disapproval of the incumbent MCE, Hon. Diana Attaa Kusiwaa renomination.
Hon. Daniel Owuredu, who is the current Bono East NPP Regional Youth Organizer was once the Assemblyman for the Kasadjan Electoral Area for two consecutive times and also served as the the Constituency Youth Organizer before rising to this level. Today’s exercise, which was supervised by the Electoral Commission (EC) and was presided by Hon. Daniel Appiah, the Presiding Member of the Nkoranza South Municipal Assembly, attracted traditional and religious leaders, politicians, family members and the public.
After receiving 100% endorsement, Hon Daniel Owuredu thanked the President for the confidence reposed in him and pledged to work to realize his vision for the Nkoranza South Municipality. He also thanked the assembly members for their overwhelming support and called for unity from all stakeholders to speed up the development process in the area to transform the socio-economic lives of the people.
The newly appointed Nkoranza South Municipal Chief Executive also recounted his experiences as a grassroots campaigner, polling station executive, constituency youth organizer and assembly member, saying it would help him work with all manner of persons to bring the needed development to the area.
The Bono East Regional Minister, Hon Kwasi Adu Gyan who was also present at the occasion appealed to the traditional leaders and Assembly members to continue to offer their support to MCE for massive development in the Municipality.
The Minister urged the confirmed nominee to respect the Assembly members and stakeholders for unity and development to prevail. Again, he assured the Assembly Members of capacity building program throughout the region.
