INDIA’S HIGH COMMISSIONER TO GHANA VISITS NKORANZA SOUTH

The Indian High Commissioner to Ghana, H.E. Sugandh Rajaram  visited the good people of Nkoranza South as part of his four-day working visit to the Bono East Region on Monday, February 7,  2022.

Already, a lot of proposals have been put on the table for possible investments especially in the areas of agriculture, agro-processing, education and tourism

The High Commissioner, accompanied by the Bono East Regional Minister, Kwasi Adu-Gyan, who until his appointment, was the Director General of the Ghana-India Kofi Annan ICT Centre in Accra

The Regional Minister further explained that tourism was another lucrative enterprise that could enhance the region’s revenue mobilization and, therefore, appealed to the High Commissioner to help develop the sites.

During the High Commissioner’s tour in Nkoranza, he visited the Nkoranza Technical Institute and toured the various departments of the institution. Being led by the school’s Principal, H.E. Sugandh Rajaram inspected all the departments of the school thus the Applied Electricity, Auto Mechanic, Engineering, Building Construction Technology, Carpentry and Joinery, Catering, Electrical Installation, Work, Electronics, Fashion and Design, General Textiles and Industrial Mechanics departments. He promised to set up an ICT Centre in the area.

 Finally the Commissioner was led to the Regional Educational Directorate building which is under construction at Akumsa Domase and inspected the ongoing works there along with the Regional Minister. The entourage thereafter left to Techiman.
