MCE FOR NKORANZA SOUTH MUNICIPAL ASSEMBLY INSPECTS ONGOING REHABILITATION OF TOWN ROADS IN THE MUNICIPALITY.

The Municipal Chief Executive on the 10th of May, 2023 inspected the ongoing rehabilitation of Nkoranza town roads in the Nkoranza municipal. The inspections were done to see how the rehabilitation is going on and whether they are challenges that needs to be addressed. He assured of government’s commitment to continue to provide urban and rural communities with accessible road network to improve socioeconomic activities in the country.

He said good and accessible road networks were the major infrastructure to boost local economies and it was government’s wish to ensure that all roads in urban and rural communities nationwide were well-rehabilitated to connect and open up the communities to allow for free flow of goods and services. He announced the contracts had been awarded by the Ministry of Roads and Highways with funding by the Department of Urban Roads.

The roads that were inspected by the Municipal Chief Executive includes Dero Road, Amangoase road, Alhaji Sambo Road, Nkoranza-Nyinase Feeder Road, Bredi No 1-camp Feeder Road and the St. Theresa’s Hospital internal road.

The people of Nkoranza expressed joy about the project and commended the government for that effort, saying it would improve the livelihoods of the people. The farmers in the municipality said that, the improvement of the road networks would facilitate quicker and easier carting of their farm produce to the market for sale to avoid post-harvest losses.
