The 40th Edition of Farmers Day Celebration was held on Friday, 8th November 2024 at exactly 11:00 am at Bonsu Roman Catholic Church adjacent the Bus Stop. Well-wishers, invited Guests, Government Officials, Staffs, as Well as Traditional Leaders Started converging at venue to commence the 40th Farmers Day Celebration. Opening Prayer was said by Rev. Seth Amoah.
The MC in the person of Daniel Oduro of Municipal Information Officer introduced the Dignitaries present and they included; the Municipal Chief Executive, Dr. Akwasi Amoateng, the Presiding Member, the Municipal Coordinating Director, the Director of Agric, the Heads of Departments, clergy and other invited guests present. The traditional Leaders was acknowledged and they included the Nkoranza Manhene representative and other nananom present.
Mr. Daniel Oduro introduced the Chairman of the occasion, and it was the Nkoranza Traditional Chief. He accepted to chair the occasion.
The head of Agric Department led the Municipal Chief Executive, the Nananom and selected personalities through the inspecting some of the products exhibited.
The Director of Agriculture welcomed everybody present to the 40th Farmers Day Celebration and spoke on the theme for the year Farmers Day Celebration. And she also had the opportunity to talk on the Agric Department has done this year by impacting knowledge through the Extension Officers to the farmers. The Municipal Chief Executive on behalf of the President, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo Addo and the sector minister and his own behalf, congratulated the farmers for their commitment and unrelenting efforts over the years to feed the people and being major stakeholders in the national building agenda.
The celebration saw the presentation of awards to farmers in the municipality who have distinguished themselves in their line of work. Out of 26 farmers nominated for the awards, 10 were awarded. The following categories and personalities were awarded with fridge, motor bikes, TVs, Spraying Machines, Wellington Boots Cutlasses, Fertilizes Cloths and Certificates.

The overall best farmer for Nkoranza South Municipal for 2024 was Mr. Owusu Abora Charles. He was given an Apsonic Motor king, spraying Machine, Cutlasses, Wellington Boots, Cloths and Certificate. He later received the sword from the 2023 Best Farmer signifying he has emerged as the best farmer for 2024Farmers Day. Mr. Owusu Abora Charles, a married man with kids thanks the Almighty God and the Municipality for the award.
The chairman for the occasion thanked all for the support they gave for the successful program. He recommended the award winners to continue to work hard in their various enterprises to produce food for the country.
