The Regional Minister and MP for Atebubu Hon. Kofi Amoakohene on August, 2020 visited some schools in the Techiman and Nkoranza Municipalities to see how the children are faring after staying home for some months due to the CONVID 19 Pandemic.
The schools visited are:
- Techiman M/A Primary School.
- Techiman St. Paul R/C Primary School.
- Nkoranza St. Theresah’s KG Primary School.
Hon. Kofi Amoakohene in all these places welcomed pupils who are coming to primary one and the rest of the pupils who are reporting back to school after staying at home for a long time because of the Coronavirus pandemic.
He appealed to the pupils to adhere strictly to all the protocols put out by the government and the health directorate so as to stay out of the disease.
He also advised them to obey their teachers and take their studies serious so as to grow into responsible adults in the future.
The Minister and his team including the Chief Director of the Bono Regional Coordinating Council, Mr. George Padmore Mensah, Regional Director of Education, Mrs. Efuah Amoah and a delegation from the Regional Health Directorate distributed biscuits, calipo, pencils, crayon and exercise books to the class to the class pupils to motivate them to stay in their various schools and learn.
