As part of the nationwide effort to promote environmental cleanliness and public hygiene, the Nkoranza South Municipal Assembly observed the National Sanitation Day on Saturday, 13th December, 2025. The event aimed to encourage communal participation in waste management and cleanliness across the municipality.
The Hon. Godfred Dapaah, the Municipal Chief Executive of Nkoranza South, played a leading role in the day’s activities.
His involvement included in the mobilization of community members, Hon. MCE personally engaged the community leaders, youth groups, students from NTI, Godsway SHS, and Sec. Tech., and market association to ensure full participation.
Hon. Godfred Dapaa addressed the gathering at the forecourt emphasizing the importance of cleanliness to public health and urban development.
The leadership of the MCE greatly motivated residents to actively participate in the exercise. The activity resulted in the clearing of major drains, removal of refuse heaps, and the general improvement of the sanitation within the municipality.
Hon. Godfred Dapaa direct involvement in the National Sanitation Day activities demonstrated his leadership contributed to the overall success of the event and further reinforced the Assembly’s Sanitation and Hygiene Agenda.
