NAS DEPUTY CEO KICKSTARTS THREE-REGION TOUR TO ASSESS FLEET, EMT WELFARE

The Deputy Chief Executive Officer of the National Ambulance Service (NAS), Dr. Patrick Inkoom-Colbelson, has commenced a comprehensive working tour across the Bono East, Bono, and Ahafo regions to assess the operational state of emergency vehicles and engage directly with frontline personnel.

Day one of the tour began on Wednesday in Techiman, the capital of the Bono East Region, where Dr. Inkoom-Colbelson and his delegation paid a courtesy call on the Regional Minister, Francis Owusu Antwi.

The high-level monitoring visit aims to provide management with firsthand information regarding the condition of the national ambulance fleet and address the welfare needs of Emergency Medical Technicians (EMTs) working within these enclaves.

Accompanying the Deputy CEO on the tour are the Deputy Director of Public Relations, Simmons Yussif Kewura, and the Head of Fleet management, Deputy Chief Advanced Medical Technician Francis Nkebi.

As part of the initial itinerary, the delegation held key administrative briefings with local government heads, including the Metropolitan Chief Executive (MCE) for the Techiman Metropolitan Assembly, Hon. Adjei Mensah, and the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for the Nkoranza South Municipal Assembly, Hon. Godfred Dapaah.

Dr. Inkoom-Colbelson and his team subsequently toured some ambulance stations across the area, inspecting facilities and equipment in Techiman, Tuobodom, Nkoranza South, and Nkoranza North.

The field visits culminated in open-floor engagement sessions, offering the EMTs a platform to interact directly with national leadership, voice operational challenges, and discuss welfare matters. The tour is expected to move into the neighbouring Bono and Ahafo territories over the coming days.
