SECOND ORDINARY MEETING OF THE FIRST SESSION OF THE NINTH ASSEMBLY OF THE NKORANZA SOUTH MUNICIPAL ASSEMBLY OCTOBER, 2025.

On the 30th October, 2025, the Nkoranza South Municipal Assembly had its first ordinary meeting of the second session of the ninth Assembly in Municipal Assembly Hall, with the Metropolitan Chief Executive (MCE), the Coordinating Director, Hon. Assembly Members, and Representative of the Nkoranza Traditional Council, Heads of Department, Agency and Units.  Hon. MCE, addressing key developmental and security issues facing the Municipality.

In his address, Hon. MCE urged Assembly Members to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activities in their electoral areas to help safeguard the municipality. He highlighted that the Municipal Security Council had implemented strategies aimed at curbing security disturbances, but emphasized that the success of these strategies would depend largely on the active support of Assembly Members.

Hon. Godfred (MCE) expressed optimism that with stakeholder support, could become one of the cleanest Town in the Region and country.

He hinted that in the quest for achieving an improved municipality, processes had been initiated to procure sanitation tools to aid clean-ups to ensure that all communities in the Municipality is rid-off filth.

On infrastructure development, Hon. MCE announced the upcoming establishment of the Nkoranza College of Health of the Nkoranza Resilient Project at formal Health Directorate. The project is expected to provide a lasting solution to health systems, road enhancements, and nature-based interventions like tree planting and urban gardening.

He further advised the assembly members to encourage their members to pay their tax with Assembly, adding that the revenue they pay would cushion the Assembly to also provide certain amenities to make Municipality to improve.

Hon. Godfred Dapaah assured them that all concerns raised would be considered by the Assembly’s management with the goal of creating a conducive environment for the butchers to operate effectively.
