On the 10th September, 2025 the Municipal Chief Executive, Hon. Godfred Dapaah held a meeting at Nkoranza South Municipal Assembly hall in the Bono East Region of Ghana with the Assembly members, the cattle owners, Crop Farmers and other key stake holders to deliberate the way forward for cattle herds-men and crop famers. This meeting took place at the Assembly hall and some major factors gathered are; The Chairman or the Spoke Person of the Crop Farmers who made a point that the cattle herdsmen and crop farmers portray the life of the vulture, thus they hardly find solutions to their problems when it’s direly needed, “we are here to solve problems and see the way forward for crop farmers and cattle herdsmen” he reiterated.

The MCE, Hon. Godfred Dapaah also added that we need to be each other’s keeper. We should all come together and resolve issues and not to fight or hate ourselves. He went further to give an example that one assembly member was able to solve a problem between a crop farmer and a cattle herdsman by introducing members from the district assembly, one representative from the chiefs palace and cattle herdsmen. They all took steps to the farm, quantified the destruction and paid the farmer without any problem so in his view that should be the way forward.
The Cattle owners Leader, also added that cattle herdsmen don’t disagree with farmers anytime cattle’s destroy their crops or farms , he also added that the farmers also sometimes intentionally attack Cattle herdsmen just to kill and take their meat as if the cattle’s are bush meat .

These and other points were raised to curb the issues surrounding the Cattle Owners, Fulani Herdsmen and Crop Farmers.

Finally an agreement was made that the MCE will write officially to the Region, the Police and in the agreement:
1. A committee will be formed from all stake holders involving the Hon Assembly members, office of the MCE, the Agric Department, the chief, the Police Commander, Fulani chiefs, Crop Famers and the cattle Owners.
2. The Cattle owners will contribute and pay for a farm destroyed by cattle’s migrating in the night or when the farmer does not see the animals on his or her farm and this will be done by the joint committee.
